Responders
Responders are trusted friends, family, or neighbors who should be notified when Devicebook detects an emergency in a Devicebook Smart Home. The home's owner chooses their responders using the Devicebook App.
When are Responders notified?
Responders may be notified when Devicebook detects any of the following emergencies in the smart home:
- Smoke or Carbon Monoxide (via Devicebook Air Safety)
- Water Leak (via Devicebook Water Safety)
- Intruder Alert (via Devicebook Security)
- Elderly Care Inactivity Alert or Missed Medication (via Devicebook Elder Care)
- SOS Button pressed
When any of the above emergencies are detected, Devicebook alert the homeowner first. If the alert is not dismissed as a false alarm, responders will be alerted. Note that when the SOS button is pressed, responders will be alerted immediately.
